The 45th edition of EIMA International, the world exhibition of agricultural mechanics, closed with an absolute record: the extraordinary number of 327,100 visitors, of whom 57,300 from abroad.
The 2022 edition achieved its highest ever result, surpassing the numbers of the pre-pandemic 2018 edition, which set the previous attendance record.
The Bologna exhibition leaves behind the most critical two-year period for trade fair events (2020-2022), brought about first by the health emergency and then by the difficult economic situation, and strengthens its leadership in the trade fair panorama.
The international character is the strong point of the Eima, the organisers emphasise. It is the element that identifies it and makes it recognisable compared to any other. Foreign visitors, coming from every continent, accounted for 18% of the total attendance and 80 official delegations of economic operators - organised thanks to ICE Agenzia - animated the business meetings in the Foreign Delegations Pavilion specially set up.
We were present with our brands Rinieri and Argnani & Monti in Hall 26, the one dedicated to machinery for soil preparation and tillage, sowing, and fertilisation, in a large space of 500 square metres. In the exhibition, visitors were able to see more than 40 different models up close.
For Argnani and Monti 3 snow ploughs, 1 salt spreader, 3 front loaders, 1 dozer, 1 backhoe.
For Rinieri: 4 models of the tool carrier Turbo and Trubo Evo with the different workheads power harrow, discs, blade and plough; 4 models of Bio-dynamic tool carriers with the fingerhacke, rollhacke, low SRC sucker remover, or SRL long-wires sucker remover; 4 models of inter-row equipment including power harrow, tiller, inter-row shredding; 4 models of toothed or knife trimmers for vineyard; 1 deleafer, 1 double sucker remover, 1 winter pre-pruning machine, 2 orchard pruners with discs and teeth; 4 models of hedges pruners; 3 models of brush cutter arms, or reach mowers.
Among the many new products on show at EIMA, our company exhibited a new machine for mechanical weeding in orchards and vineyards, which adds to the already wide range of equipment Rinieri produced. The 2023 novelty is an inter-row shredder, model FT. The machine has a frame with two wheels, plus a third support wheel to ensure the stability of the flail head and hydraulic head tilt. A sensor rod controls the return of the shredding head. It is available in two frame models, both with a 120 cm flail head.
Another novelty presented at Eima 2022 is the new DRF vineyard deleafer head with rollers.
After two consecutive years, EIMA is taking a break, returning to the classic biennial schedule. The next edition of EIMA International is already scheduled for 6 to 10 November 2024.
